OPI-integris Signs On New Biosystems Engineer

Calgary, Alberta-OPI-integris, the world leader
for Advanced Grain Management solutions, announces a new addition
to their Calgary HQ-based team. Chandra B. Singh has accepted the
position of Biosystems Engineer and will spearhead the company's
ongoing Advanced Grain Management Research and Development
efforts.
In his new position, Singh is charged with developing and
testing algorithms, computer-based modeling and sensing technology
to enhance OPI-integris' Advanced Grain Management system
solutions. As the in-house grain storage management expert, Singh
will also work closely with OPI-integris customers, as well as
academic and business communities within the agricultural sector to
gather valuable insight and information that he can apply to new
innovations and ongoing research.
Before joining OPI-integris, Singh was a Postdoctoral Fellow in
Biosystems Engineering at the University of Manitoba where he
conducted research and analysis using synchrotron-based infrared
(IR) imaging to study compositional and structural changes in
fungal-damaged stored grain. Prior to his Fellowship, Singh was an
instructor also at the University of Manitoba where he taught
undergraduate and post-graduate Biosystems Engineering courses.
In 2009 Singh achieved his PhD in Biosystems Engineering from
the University of Manitoba. He also holds a Masters in Postharvest
Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) located
in Kharagpur, India and a Bachelors in Agricultural Engineering
from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in
Pantnagar, India.
